Lotsa artwork going up!
from Venice Family Clinic's annual artwalk, to LACE's annual fundraising auction, and MOCA's, FRESH auction; there is plenty of" LESS than retail" priced artworks, at tax-deductible auctions all around Los Angeles these past few weeks! We also saw a successful auction at LAMA, and we are looking forward to the next, and final outdoor Santa Monica Auction, at Bergamot station, before they tear down the buildings, to make way for the new train line.
As for shows; there's the MUST SEE "Made in LA"; happening concurrently at the Hammer, La>< art in Culver City, and Barnsdall artpark. Also, I'm interested in checking out Gustavo Godoy's new works at Honor Fraser. What else? Find yourself a copy of this month's BLISS magazine, for a spread on Barry McGee, and some sweet surf girls!
